The Institute is run by Kendriya Hindi Shikshan Mandal, an autonomous organization under the Ministry. The Institute conducts activities related to teaching-training, research and material development, language-enrichment and promotion of Hindi as second\/foreign language in the country and abroad. Kendriya Hindi Sansthan has gained national and international fame while working in this field. The Institute provides its learners the facility to learn Hindi with state-of-the-art language teaching methods for their academic benefit. The broad objective of this project is to provide advanced educational resources and facilities for Hindi teaching\/ learning to the non-Hindi\/foreign students desirous of learning Hindi.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">In its initial phase (pilot project), the first 5 lessons of the prescribed text book for course no. 4 : Pathawali are being prepared in multimedia formats to make it available online.\u00a0<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Learning modules of other courses of this program, i.e.: &#8216;Oral Expression&#8217;, &#8216;Written Expression&#8217; and &#8216;Hindi Composition&#8217; will be prepared after the completion of this course. In the next phase, the courses for higher level programmes, i.e.: &#8216;Diploma in Hindi Language Proficiency&#8217; (Programme Code: 200), &#8216;Advanced Diploma in Hindi Language Proficiency&#8217; (Programme Code: 300) and &#8216;Post Graduate Hindi Diploma&#8217; (Programme Code: 400) will be presented on the online platform.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">About 150 students are selected every year for the Hindi learning fellowship scheme of the Government of India to get education under KHS International Hindi Program at the Institute Headquarter and Delhi regional center, but this number is very less in comparison to the demand received for Hindi teaching from all over the world.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Foreign students desirous of learning Hindi will be able to learn Hindi through this parallel online medium as per their pace, convenience and orientation of interest.
